Come on! When was the last time someone on the <i>left</i> accused anyone who disagreed with their policies as "sympathizing with terrorists?" The right does this all the time. They denigrate the patriotism of anyone who dares to question them. And the right doesn't even reserve this treatment for the left: just look at what the Bush campaign did to McCain in 2000. Sure, the left is plenty guilty of taking cheap shots, but if they've ever sunk to <i>that</i> level, I sure haven't seen it. The left plays dirtier? Come on! When was the last time someone on the left accused anyone who disagreed with their policies as “sympathizing with terrorists?” The right does this all the time. They denigrate the patriotism of anyone who dares to question them.

And the right doesn’t even reserve this treatment for the left: just look at what the Bush campaign did to McCain in 2000.

Sure, the left is plenty guilty of taking cheap shots, but if they’ve ever sunk to that level, I sure haven’t seen it.

If anything, the Democratic party has faltered because the GOP is <i>much better</i> at avoid-the-real-issues attack politics than the Democrats are. And before you go tossing out "stands less for America and more for itself" allegations, methinks you should look at the plank in thine own party's eye. How many times has this administration put politics and partisan interests before the security and interests of the American people? Too many to count. I call BS here.
